Casey Weldon’s “Novel Relic" at Roq La Rue.

Casey Weldon will have a spectacular set of new paintings on display starting tonight, Thursday August 7th, 2014, at Roq La Rue in Seattle, Washington for his show entitled “Novel Relic.”  Working to evoke nostalgia in his viewers, Casey’s work often takes the strange and mixes it with pop culture, resulting in a one of a kind style.  These set of paintings see Casey particularly focusing in on technology and nature.

Thanks to the work of Italian photographer Elido Turco we’ve all been invited to an Entmoot. Turco has a great eye for trees and uses a mirroring technique to transform the the natural textures of their trunks and branches into faces that could only belong to J. R. R. Tolkien’s mighty Ents.
